Why does a OneCNC product cost less than other leading CAD/CAM?

OneCNC is a full developer of software and does not pay third party royalties to others. OneCNC prefers to retain a fully integrated product developed in-house to eliminate any compatibility or support problems from third party products therefore reducing the developed costs.

What is your software maintenance policy?

OneCNC does not charge yearly product maintenance. Any improvements or additions to the current product purchased are made available to the customer for downloading from the OneCNC update server at no cost.

Does OneCNC charge for technical support?

OneCNC does not charge for telephone technical support or require you to pay any additional fees. The OneCNC Users Club is also an efficient way of collaborating with other users and OneCNC support personnel from around the world.

Can OneCNC reduce my machining cycle times and programming times?

Yes, with OneCNC advanced high speed technology you can save up to 80% on machining times. OneCNC was not only a pioneer in this field but includes it as a standard feature in all milling packages and there is no need to purchase extra modules.

Are there extra charges on top of the purchase price for translators or posts?

There are no hidden charges each OneCNC product is sold as a complete system.

If I start with a OneCNC 2.5D can I later move to advanced to 3D CAD/CAM.

Yes that is easy OneCNC is totally modular and all you need to do is pay the difference and move to the selected version.

How long has OneCNC been established.

OneCNC history goes back 30 years under the same management and ownership.

Does OneCNC offer network licenses?

Network licenses are available in 10, 20, 50 or 100 seat increments.

Will OneCNC allow me to DNC to my machine for large programs?

All OneCNC products include a complete NC program editor with integrated RS232 communications for drip feeding large programs to your machine.

If I feel I or other staff need more training is it available and at what cost.

Yes training is available from beginner to advanced user at additional cost, in OneCNC training facilities or at your site depending on your site location.

OneCNC does not have an office in my country

This is not a problem. OneCNC is experienced in dealing the customers all over the world, we do this via Live Online demonstrations, support and training or telephone and email.

Will OneCNC be compatible with my CNC control?

Post processors for the most common machines are installed automatically.  Modifying a post in OneCNC to suit your CNC is very simple; any post processor changes can be made by the end user, or by our support services.  There are no fees for additional posts or for assistance in creating or modifying an existing post.

What training materials are available to OneCNC users?

OneCNC offers a variety of training methods and materials in addition to free technical support. OneCNC provides extensive help files, tutorial manuals, video training, and free online assistance. Customers with localized offices can also attend scheduled training classes.

What type of computer do I need to run OneCNC

 Suggested minimum is a Pentium 4 CPU 4 Gig RAM Min 256 3D NVIDIA graphics card.

Yes OneCNC offers much better than that, technology allows for superior time saving methods of evaluating the software contact sales.

Why do I have to be a licensed user to access the OneCNC user’s forum

By majority customer request the OneCNC User’s Forum is private.  The purpose of the forum is to help solve manufacturing and programming challenges and to assist customers in the use of OneCNC.

Does OneCNC import files from other CAD systems

Yes OneCNC reads files and has translators for all popular CAD, DXF, DWG, IGES, STEP, SAT, VDA, Rhino and Solidworks.

What Computer Specifications and operating systems will OneCNC run on

Minimum Specifications

  • 32 or 64-bit Intel Pentium 4 processor (2 GHz or faster), Intel Xeon, Intel Core, AMD Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, AMD Phemnom or later, in single, dual or quad core versions

  • 2 GB for Windows Vista/Windows 7 and 4GB for 64-bit operating systems

  • 10 GB free disk space for the OneCNC installation

  • Graphics card

  • CDROM or Internet connection for installing the software and for updating the software

OpenGL compliant - Minimum 128 MB memory for wire frame or express systems - Minimum 256 MB memory for solid model systems

We recommend NVIDIA graphics cards or equivalent and that the latest driver for the card is installed.

When installing on Windows Vista Windows 7 or Windows 8:

  • If you experience problems with the driver supplied by Windows for your graphics card. Check with the manufacturers website for the latest driver updates on the web site for your card and install.

Does OneCNC offer network licenses

Network licenses are available in 10, 20, 50 seat increments. The network requirement is for a Windows single network system without subnets.

How does OneCNC License the software

Each OneCNC system is licensed to a USB device. This method of copy protection allows for license portability from PC to PC in the event of hardware failure and offers the user flexibility to use the software offsite by taking the USB device with you..
